Butternut squash are being grown in the 4x9 raised bed next to the woods, and have begun to get their true leaves already. In all, there are 4 plants growing, and I hope to get around 8-10 squash from them later....
Definitely growing Waltham butternut again this year, as I wasn't thrilled with the number of squash I got from the Butterbush last year. I won't even get my seeds in the ground for another month though.
Last year my winter squash harvest was terrible. I'm trying a couple of new varieties. I've still the the typical Waltham butternut though.
