A total of four are evenly spaced in the 4x8 raised bed, and can be seen by the little seedlings protruding from the soil. They'll be allowed to climb the trellis attached to it of course.......
Good luck on those watermelons. I never grow them as I'm not a watermelon fan. Now if you talk cantaloupes, then I'm in. I'm going to plant up a whole 4'x8' section in those this year.
