Jude

It's hard to get a decent picture of her, because she hardly ever sits still long enough. Just ask my brother, he can tell you......Anyway, I got her attention for a nice shot over the weekend.

That dog sure does love it, and one only has to hold it above her head to see the anticipation in her eyes in hopes that it'll be thrown into the air. She's my girl......

Jude and the snake

Jude has encountered a few snakes before( which always bothers me),  because she usually locates them before I do, and of course thinks they're something to play with. But not this one. She walked right by it 3 or 4 times without even noticing it. However, once I poked at it with a stick it climbed a small tree - then the chase was on......sheesh. Way to go Jude.........turdhead.

Anytime I'm out back working on my little homemade table performing various tasks, Jude usually gets bored and sits in this one particular spot just peering out into the woods. Anyway, I decided to share a photo of this daily experience with you. It always makes me smile.

Jude's paw

Poor Jude. She has injured herself somehow, and I feel so bad for her. A trip to the vet this morning indicated a puncture wound of some kind on the padded part of her paw, and a week's worth of antibiotics will hopefully take care of it.

If not, we'll need to surgically explore the wound to fix it.

Anyway, my gardening buddy will hopefully be back like new real soon, because things will get heated up pretty soon around here on the gardening front.
