Ever since starting this new job, there just hasn't been any time for blogging. With driving included, my workdays are now 14.5 hours long. The garden is being kept up, and I've now given away at least 8 Walmart bags full of squash away. However, I did pickle some the other day while making bread and butter pickles.....That should be interesting.
The corn is coming in too, and is so good! I'll have to get a picture if it for ya.....
Wow, that is a long workday. I can't wait to see the corn.
ReplyDeleteKris, yeah it sure is. It takes some getting used to
DeleteYou didn't tell us you got a new job! Congratulations, I was afraid we might have to take up a collection to support you, LOL! Gosh, I think my workdays are 14.5 hours long, and I don't even get paid ;-)
ReplyDeleteGranny, I got tired of just sitting at the house. Oh, and you'll never have to worry about taking up a collection for the Vandiver boys.... :)
DeleteI envy the corn. Mine just struggles here. But I have hopes still that I'll get a good harvest.
ReplyDeleteDaphne. It's good stuff!
DeleteCongrats on the new job! That is a long work day. I hope that Jude is helping out and tending to things while your gone :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how the pickled squash turned out!
Robin - I'm definitely looking forward to the pickled squash, myself!
DeleteCongratulations on your new job! Thanks for posting an update for those of us who worry. Wow! That is a long work day. I am looking forward to garden pictures when you have the time.
